A woman accused of abandoning an injured dog in Yonkers has been arraigned.

Prosecutors said Anita Martin, 60, is charged with aggravated animal cruelty and abandonment of animals.

Cameras captured her leaving a 1‑year‑old pitbull mix near Oakland Cemetery in Yonkers in November.

The dog had a large cut across its throat, according to prosecutors.

Martin pleaded not guilty and was released without bail.

She is due back in court later this month.
