Residents on Prospect Drive in Yonkers say steep and curvy road conditions left them stuck in their neighborhood after snowfall, raising concerns about future winter storms.

Neighbors say many people could not get out until late Monday afternoon. Even then, cars were still getting stuck on the hill, residents say.

Five years ago, News 12 showed video of a plow truck losing control on the same road and crashing into a fence. No one was hurt, but a woman who lives at that home says she wants to see more attention paid to the street going forward.

"When it snows, it's impassable," said Christina Reidel, who lives on Prospect Drive. She says cars frequently get stuck because of the hill and sharp turn, making it almost impossible to safely travel during snow.

Department of Public Works crews were out again Monday cleaning secondary roads, officials say.
