New details have emerged about who may be responsible for the antisemitic and racist symbols found at two parks in Yorktown.
Yorktown Town Supervisor Ed Lachterman said there is reason to believe that multiple people are responsible for spray-painting the antisemitic and racist symbols in Yorktown.
"It's a little early to tell, but most likely kids, plural, hanging out," Lachterman said.
While the investigation continues, officials said the symbols were found over the weekend at Patriot Skate Park and Jack Devito Veterans Memorial Track and Field.

Skater Jesus Perez called the incident a purposeful act of hate and added that it doesn't matter if the potential perpetrators were young in age.
"It's common sense," Perez said. "It's not like they didn't know."
The incident is also sending shockwaves throughout Yorktown's Jewish community.
Rabbi Yehuda Heber, from the Chabad of Yorktown, said the actions were "really out of character for our town."
The rabbi said any consequences that the perpetrators face must be paired with education opportunities.
"You know, we're here to teach and we're here learn. Obviously, incidents like this tell us that our job is not done," Heber said.
