Coastal Flood Advisory for southern Westchester County from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. Saturday. Minor flooding is expected in the most vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Still breezy today with winds gusting over 20-25 mph at times.
- A chilly start with 40s and 50s this morning! Fall gives away to summer by this afternoon with 80s under sunshine.
- For the weekend, Saturday looks great! Sunny skies, warm temps, a return of some humidity and a light wind.
- Sunday has clouds slowly moving in through the day as a frontal system approaches. Some showers are possible closer to sunset, with light rain moving in overnight.
- The showers will last, on and off, through Monday with drier air returning afterwards.
- Next week, it will be a cooler than average week sadly. But at least it will be fairly dry.
TROPICS: Hurricane Erin is moving northeast, away from the East Coast, through the Western Atlantic Ocean. It is a large and powerful storm that has been bringing rough surf, gusty winds and coastal breach erosion to the region. Conditions will improve gradually into the weekend.
