There was heavy police presence in Orange County Saturday evening to investigate the death of a man who died in the woods.

The investigation centered around the Mountainville hamlet of Cornwall, along the west side of the New York State Thruway.

State police and Cornwall police, assisted by state Department of Environmental Conservation, appeared to be questioning hunters.

The Orange County medical examiner told News 12 that the man died deep in the woods on a trail off Industry Drive.

Authorities have ruled his death a suicide.
