Flames tear through Bayville home; 1 dead

A deadly fire broke out in Bayville for the second time in three days.

Officials say flames originated from at 128 Bayville Ave. just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Nassau County fire officials say one person was killed.

News 12 is told that at least three fire departments responded to the call.

This is the second deadly fire in Bayville this week. Police say on Monday, 94-year-old Sonia Baron was killed in a home on Bayville Park Boulevard. Baron, who neighbors say was wheelchair-bound, was trapped inside the burning home. Another person was transported to the hospital with serious burns.

Fire officials say the Bayville Avenue fire doesn't appear to be suspicious.
