Forest O’Fears Halloween festival kicks off tonight in Ossining

Cedar Lane Town Park has been transformed into a Forest O’Fears ahead of Halloween.

Halloween enthusiasts looking for a good spook are invited to take a haunted stroll with lots of scares in store.

The festival begins this weekend with a haunted abandoned building and trails of horror and continues next weekend, featuring a family fun field and haunted attraction.

The attraction’s event coordinator tells News 12 that 72 youth and over 20 adult volunteers spent countless weekends putting the event together – from design to the layout to construction.

News 12 is told that the event first started in 2014 as a small fundraiser event and has continued to grow ever since.

This year, all proceeds from the festival will go to the SPCA of Westchester.

Guests are welcomed to attend the first tour of the haunted attraction tonight at 6:45 p.m.
