Residents in the Wyandanch and Eastport-South Manor school districts cast their ballots Tuesday for budget revotes.

The proposed $73 million spending plan in Wyandanch failed with a vote of 223-139. It would have exceeded the state's 2% percent tax cap. It needed 60% yes votes to pass.

In the Eastport-South Manor district, the budget passed with 65% of the vote, with 1,108 in favor and 587 against.
