Farmingville woman says owner did nothing as dog attacked her

A Farmingville woman who says she was attacked by a dog claims its owner did nothing about it.
Kris, who didn't want to share her last name, says she is still terrified when she thinks about what happened to her last Saturday at Farmvingville Hills County Park. She says she and a friend were walking on a trail when a large Dobermann, that was only wearing a chain-like collar, jumped in front of them.
Then, Kris says she turned and the dog bit her, let go, circled back in front of her and lunged again.
Kris says her friend was screaming, and then the dog's owner finally yelled "stop," and the dog let go. She says they both ran off.
Kris has stitches and has to get a round of rabies shots because she doesn't know if the dog is up to date with its shots. She says pictures of her injuries are scary to look at and talk about.
Kris says she doesn't know if she will ever step foot on a trail again.
Suffolk SPCA chief Roy Gross says Kris did the right thing following the attack, when she filed police and bite reports about the incident.
The SPCA urges to dog owner to come forward.
