Family pleads for information on missing Yonkers day laborer

The search is on for a Yonkers man who has been missing for six days.
Pedro Amazan Diaz has been missing since Saturday. Family members say he was hired as a day laborer and was heading to New Jersey with an unknown person before he disappeared.
Diaz left a voicemail for a family member shortly before he went missing, saying he was in trouble, and to contact his sisters.
The 29-year-old moved from Mexico to Yonkers six months ago. He has two children.
A family friend and Diaz's sister drove 15 hours from South Carolina after he went missing, and have remained in the area ever since. They say they have checked hospitals from New Jersey to Manhattan and immigration authorities as well as jails, to no avail.
Diaz's family is making a plea for anyone with information to come forward.
News 12 checked with Yonkers police, who confirmed he has been reported missing. They are investigating.
