A man returned nearly $3,000 he found lying on a Tarrytown street Monday.

Jeff Wiedemann was on his way to get coffee when he found the cash inside an envelope.

The owner of that envelope is Mike Love, who owns Coffee Labs Roasters on Main Street. Love was on his way to make a big bank deposit when he unknowingly dropped the envelope.

Wiedemann had no idea the cash belonged to the owner of his favorite coffee shop. He brought the money to the police station.

Love was home cooking when he got the call from police. He says he wants to meet Wiedemann and repay him with coffee.
