Today is the most active stretch of the forecast. Snow develops this morning and continues through the late morning hours before beginning to mix with rain early for parts of the region this afternoon. Precipitation gradually tapers off later today as temperatures push into the mid to upper 30s, limiting impacts but still creating periods of wet snow and slushy conditions. After today, the pattern turns colder and quieter overall, with occasional chances for light snow Sunday and much colder air settling in early next week. Temperatures stay mostly in the 20s and 30s through midweek before a modest rebound toward the upper 30s late in the week.
Saturday (STORM WATCH): Snow during the morning, with some seeing mixing, gradually ending by this afternoon. Temperatures range from the low 30s to the upper 30s.
Sunday: Cloudy with snow developing after early morning. Temperatures range from the upper 20s to the mid-30s.
Monday (MLK Day): Mostly sunny and colder. Temperatures range from the upper teens to the low 30s.
Tuesday: Sunny but very cold. Temperatures range from the low teens to the low 20s.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny early with increasing clouds later. Temperatures range from the upper 20s to the low 30s.
Thursday: Partly sunny and a bit milder. Temperatures range from the upper 20s to the mid-30s.
Friday: Mostly sunny and chilly. Temperatures range from the low to mid-20s to the upper 20s.
