Red Bull BC One will kick off in New York City on July 24.
Some of the top break-dancers made the announcement at the Boogie Down Grind in Hunts Point.
"But today, we announced that for the Rebel BC One Cypher in New York is going to happen so it's a big deal, especially in New York," says Kid Glyde, founder of KBL studios and Red Bull BC One judge. "It's nice to be back here right now. It's opened up, so we're able to actually enjoy a little bit more."
There has been a lot of buzz around break-dancing ever since it was announced it will be in the 2024 Olympics.
