A body was discovered amid the search for a former Monroe resident who recently went missing in Turks and Caicos, a private investigator says.
Brian Tarrance, 51, lived in Monroe before recently moving to Manhattan. He was last seen vacationing with his wife on June 25.
Authorities say surveillance video showed him leaving his Airbnb and walking downtown.
The private investigator told News 12 that volunteers and police uncovered a badly decomposed body in a ditch on Saturday.
Authorities are conducting an autopsy on the body and working to determine the identity.
