A suspect held up an Atlantic Bank branch in Yonkers Friday evening, police say.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at 2320 Central Park Ave., inside the Kohl's shopping center.
According to police, the male suspect walked into the bank just before closing and gave the teller a note demanding money. They say the man did not brandish any kind of weapon.
After receiving the money, a red dye pack exploded all over the suspect. He then fled on foot.
Officials describe the suspect as a white male in his late 40s to early 50s standing about 6 feet and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black athletic suit -- covered in red dye -- and a black hat with lime-green trim at the time.
