News 12 has obtained new information in a rash of vandalism targeting auto shops and parked customer vehicles in an area of Orange County.

New Windsor police say five car windows were smashed on Sunday at Empire Auto Body on Walnut Street.

News 12 first reported similar complaints from auto businesses nearby, in the city of Newburgh, about an uptick in customer vehicles being vandalized while parked at their shops overnight.

Police say in this most recent case, four of the cars were rummaged through for personal items and money.

No arrests have been made.
