Police: Man critically injured in East Williamsburg hit-and-run

EMS and police responded to Flushing and Scott avenues around 9:30 p.m. and took the 27-year-old man victim to Elmhurst Hospital.

A man is in the hospital fighting for his life after police say he was struck Saturday night in a hit-and-run incident in East Williamsburg.
EMS and police responded to Flushing and Scott avenues around 9:30 p.m. and took the 27-year-old man victim to Elmhurst Hospital.
Citizen App video captured the moments after police blocked off the area. Police say they're not sure if the man was trying to cross the street at the time he was hit.
They say he is in critical condition with severe head trauma.
Investigators a car fled the scene after hitting the man. Police say the description of the car is currently unknown as they continue to investigate the incident.
