Local Planned Parenthood offices have increased their security in response to the deadly shooting at a Colorado clinic.

The White Plains office at 175 Tarrytown Road seemed to be business as usual on the outside, but workers say they feel the effects of the fatal shooting that claimed the lives of three people and injured nine.

While the accused killer, Robert Lewis Dear, faced a judge for the first time Monday, Reina Schriffrin says the shooting is prompting local chapters like hers to rethink their own security.

"We're working with local enforcement," she says. "The local police have been terrific coming to visit our centers."

She insists they'll be doing a lot on their own, most of which she can't discuss, to ensure their clinics are safe.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has also ordered state police to increase their patrols of Planned Parenthood clinics across the state.
