A stabbing inside a Riverdale Avenue apartment building in Yonkers left one person injured Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the victim suffered multiple stab wounds and is in stable condition.
News 12 crews saw what appeared to be blood on the floor outside a door in the building.
One person is in custody, according to police.
Residents say violence in the area is frequent. "I've witnessed myself as a single mother: I'm walking down the street with my child and I see people just getting run up on and hurt, punched, stabbed, shot," said Georgia Anderson of Yonkers. "You know? And it's disturbing."
The building's management office did not respond when contacted.
