Paterson School District pushes back start of in-person learning to Jan. 24

The Paterson School District has pushed back the return to in-person learning, school officials announced on Wednesday.
Paterson students were supposed to return to the classroom on Jan. 18, but the return was pushed back to Jan. 24.
“It is our hope that our staff and students will take this time to get tested, get vaccinated, and continue taking all of the precautions against the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” Superintendent Eileen Shafer said in a statement.
The district has set up 12 testing sites for students that will continue through Jan. 22.
