WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Tuesday will have lighter winds with mostly sunny skies and a milder temperature trend. Please be mindful doing or using anything with an open flame or that may generate a spark. Both of those can easily lead to more fires starting or spreading near any dry vegetation.
A system will try to approach the region Tuesday evening and as it moves in, cloud cover will increase after sunset with showers staying at bay.
But for Wednesday, the day will be a mix of sun and clouds with clouds thickening up again Wednesday night. Before midnight, rain will move in and linger into Thursday. The morning rush can potentially see batches of rain on-and-off and then in the afternoon, scattered showers. All the while, breezy winds will pick up through the day.
Rain showers are even going to be around for Friday as the system responsible for some much-needed wet weather lingers over the Northeast.
Rainfall totals could be on average, an inch or so. This won't remove the region from the severe drought it is in, but a little bit will go a long way! Rain showers fade before the weekend arrives, but breezy winds will be possible for both Saturday and Sunday.
