An MTA bus driver was honored on Friday and received a day named after him after helping out children in need.

Marvin McClaurin was doing his early morning route when he noticed two children alone got on his bus in just pajamas at 5 a.m.

McLaurin kept watch over the two kids, contacting the NYPD to help them out. He kept the kids on the bus rather than just continuing his route until police arrived.

Mayor Eric Adams announced that Jan. 5 will now be known as Marvin McClaurin Day and presented him with a proclamation.

"As Mayor Adams said, father instinct kicked in when seeing two kids out there that morning, cold with no coat or anything on,” said McLaurin. “I wanted to make sure they were safe. Once NYPD arrived, I knew they were in safe hands."
