Ramapo police say they are investigating a string of incidents reported in the Monsey area Thursday night. Police confirm the first call came in around 11:30 p.m., reporting an incident near Adar Court and West Central Avenue in Monsey.

According to the department, several people in different parts of Monsey say they were sprayed with a substance and hit with objects thrown from a black vehicle traveling through neighborhood streets. Police say no one was hurt.

A person who lives in the area tells News 12 that what happened last night makes them feel "unsafe."

Investigators say they were able to identify a vehicle believed to be involved. That vehicle was later traced to a home in Nanuet.

Police are not sharing any more information right now because they are still working on the investigation.

News 12 previously reported on similar incidents in Ramapo in 2022 and 2024. Different teens between the ages of 17 and 19 were charged in those situations.
