Officials: Violent crime on the decline in Connecticut

A 44-year-old man was injured during a stabbing in Brownsville, according to police.

The violent scene unfolded outside 486 East 98th St. just after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say the man suffered stab wounds to his cheek and stomach.

EMS took him to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where he is expected to recover.
