Leg. Burrows offers apology for drug arrest

Gordon Burrows, county legislator and former Yonkers city councilman, is speaking out for the first time since being arrested for cocaine possession.
Burrows was on his way to Vermont for a ski trip on Feb. 5 when the arrest was made. He is calling his drug arrest an "abberation" and is asking the voters for forgiveness.
Police say the 52-year-old and his friend Timothy Cacace, both of Yonkers, were seen using cocaine in a parked car at a gas station in Queensbury, N.Y. When police searched the car, they say they found a small amount of cocaine. Both men were arrested and are now facing misdemeanor charges.
Burrows says he has no plans to resign from the Westchester County Board of Legislators and will continue to serve his constituents while he faces this legal battle.
