Election officials say that so far, turnout is on pace with other years for a primary election.
A concern for some voters has been coming out in the heat.
Others tell News 12 that it's important, regardless of the weather.
"It's important to vote, especially in local elections because a lot of things are decided locally," says Yonkers resident Peter Kiers.
