The return of the Hudson River Music Festival drew crowds to Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson.

With the iconic Hudson River as its backdrop, the music and environmental celebration was enjoyed by the sold-out crowd.

"It's just a cool re-creation of what music was years ago and what it is today. It's exciting for the people who produced it, they did a really awesome job bringing everybody together." Said Tai Scott of Brooklyn.

Initially inspired by the late singer/songwriter Pete Seeger, this inaugural festival pays tribute to the original music event of years past.

"The fact that it is still true to Pete Seeger and his mission is important. People have been waiting for this festival to come back. They did a great job." Said music lover Janeen Shaitelman of New Jersey.

Event organizer Mitzi Elkes concluded, "The purpose is to marry music and environmental celebration. The environment is universal to everybody. They go hand in hand."
