HEAT ALERT: Hot temps for Connecticut Sunday; chance of thunderstorms Monday

NOW: It's hot and noticeably more humid but not excessive. It feels hotter only because temperatures were running below normal this past week. The summery weekend will continue. Temps similar for Sunday. Highs close to 90 away from the shoreline.
NEXT: Cold front comes in late Sunday into Mon. Risk of showers and a few t-storms. At this point SPC is not saying severe. Cooler Monday.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says will be hot and sunny on Sunday ahead of a risk of thunderstorms on Monday.
Temps come back up mid to late week. More 90s possible. Storms likely next weekend with a stalled front. Not what people want to see for their "holiday weekend".
