A shooting during a crowded basketball game in Poughkeepsie has led to two arrests.

It happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday at Hulme Park on Market Street, where multiple players and parkgoers were present.

City police say a 37-year-old man from Newburgh was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Within minutes, officers spotted two men running from the scene.

Anthony Guillen, 31, and Charles Clayton Jr., 29, were quickly caught and arrested.

Guillen also had a gunshot wound at the time.

Police recovered two handguns and charged both men with criminal possession of a weapon.

They were arraigned in city court and are being held in county jail on bail.

Police say the victim was not the intended target. The investigation is ongoing.
