A local nonprofit dedicated to inspiring young girls to be Strong Smart and Bold is getting ready for its biggest fundraiser of the year.
Girls Inc. of Westchester County is getting ready to host its Strong Smart and Bold Gala next week.
The organization provides a host of after school programs and mentorship programs to more than 600 girls each year.
News 12 sat down with the director of programs to find out why this year’s gala is so important.
"It's just it's an opportunity to connect with our peers, the other nonprofits, um uh to reacquaint ourselves with those who have been donating um and sponsoring and supporting Girls Inc. over the last um several years. Um and to introduce ourselves fresh to those who may be just finding out about our organization," said Krista Creacy, director of Programs Girls Inc. Westchester County
The gala will be held April 21 at the Glen Island Harbour Club.
