A fire at a two-story mixed-use building was quickly brought under control Tuesday morning in Larchmont, with no injuries reported.

The fire broke out around 6 a.m. at 8 Railroad Way, directly across from the Larchmont train station.

Crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the exterior area between two buildings.

Fire officials say the blaze was likely caused by an outdoor cooling unit and is expected to be ruled accidental. Firefighters were able to contain the flames in about 10 to 15 minutes, preventing them from spreading inside.

Owners say the fire caused only minor smoke and water damage.“Luckily the flames did not reach the inside,” said Dennis Gallagher, owner of The Cellar Bar. Gallagher said cleanup is already underway and the business plans to open later today. He added that an upcoming 35th anniversary event will still take place as scheduled.

Officials say a nearby nail salon may remain closed temporarily due to the damage.
