Fairview firefighter convicted of assaulting ex-girlfriend in Dobbs Ferry

Joseph Apostoli, 46, was found guilty on two counts of assault following a non-jury trial, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.

A firefighter from Dobbs Ferry has been convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend during a 2024 incident at their apartment.
Joseph Apostoli, 46, was found guilty on two counts of assault following a non-jury trial, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
Apostoli, a member of the Fairview Fire Department in Greenburgh, physically attacked the woman, causing serious injuries including a rib fracture, a partially collapsed lung, and bruising to her body and face.
Apostoli is currently suspended without pay, according to Fairview Fire Chief Howard Reiss.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 15.
