Scarsdale hosted a special treat for pets on Sunday when a local grooming business gave back to the community.

Best Friends Pet Grooming on Central Park Avenue offered one free mini grooming service for dogs.

The owner said the event was meant to support new pet owners, seniors, and families facing rising costs of basic pet care. “We’re basically giving out free nail cutting, bang trims for the dogs and teeth brushing. Especially for pet parents who can’t afford it. We’re just trying to give back to the community,” said Jessica Jilon, owner of Best Friends Pet Grooming.

She added that she plans to work with local animal shelters in the future to help pets find their forever homes.
