CVS Pharmacy began offering the COVID-19 vaccine for children Sunday.
There are 10 CVS locations vaccinating children ages 5 to 11 in the Bronx and Brooklyn combined.
Children in this age group will get one-third of the dose that’s usually given to adults.
Starting Monday, the city will also begin hosting one day vaccine clinics during school hours at city schools that enroll children ages 5 to 11.
A parent or guardian must either be present or give verbal or written consent for a child to receive a shot.
Pediatricians say it is normal if your child experiences symptoms after the shot.
