Crews responded to a large structure fire Monday morning in Hamptonburgh.
Firefighters say it started shortly after 8:30 a.m. at 8 Shea Road.
They arrived to find flames shooting through the roof and thick black smoke billowing into the sky. Several neighboring departments joined the effort, and it took more than an hour to put out the fire.
Officials say the building was being used as a detached garage with some living space.
No injuries have been reported.
