STORM WATCH: Strong winds take aim at Long Island as rain tapers off

Windy conditions will be around early Wednesday as rain across Long Island lessens.
A wind advisory has been extended into Nassau County, with a high wind warning in Suffolk County through Wednesday at 2 p.m.
The strongest winds are expected to arrive early Wednesday with some gusts approaching near 60 mph on some parts of Long Island.
Power outages, downed trees and some damage to homes is possible.
Thursday will be the one calm day of the week, with sun and highs near 60.
More rain is expected late Friday into Saturday.
