Warmer temps finally on the way after brutal stretch

After yesterday's showers and storms moved through the region, temperatures have dropped significantly across the Hudson Valley. We'll be seeing high temps top out in the low 60s, which might be a "shock to the system" for you. We were seeing Summer-like weather the past several days and now it feels like we've jumped back into an early Spring-vibe. While heavy storms have moved away from the region, showers will linger for today.

That rain chance is mainly for the first half of this Thursday. We'll find on and off scattered showers through the morning commute and into the lunch time frame. The afternoon ride home will involve some sunny breaks as drier air continues to move in.

Friday is a relatively nice day, with a mix of sun and clouds, a cool temperature trend, and a pleasant breeze. Sadly, we don't see the weather improving for the weekend to come.

The "Unofficial start to Summer" comes this weekend with Memorial Day on the way. We will not find desirable beach, grilling, or boating weather across the region. Saturday will be the worst day of the holiday weekend with rain and wind around. Sunday will be a little bit better with Monday having a lower shower chance. Temperatures will gradually improve through those days.
