More than 600 T-shirts lined the streets outside the Orange County Government Center in Goshen Tuesday – each one representing a victim of domestic violence.

The display is part of the Clothesline Project, which aims to promote domestic violence awareness and offer help to victims.

Safe Homes of Orange County joined elected officials and law enforcement to unveil the exhibit.

The display will be traveling around the Hudson Valley this October for Domestic Violence Month. 

In Orange County, Safe Homes says 28 woman have been killed at the hands of their current or former intimate partner since 2004. Organizers are calling for more money for prevention, education and supportive services.
