Cellphone snatched during fight at Utica Avenue subway station in Bed-Stuy

Authorities say the theft happened just before 3 p.m. on Jan. 27.

Police are searching for a man they say is responsible for snatching another man’s cellphone during a fight at the Utica Avenue subway station in Bed-Stuy.

Authorities say the theft happened just before 3 p.m. on Jan. 27.

The man followed the 36-year-old before grabbing him from behind, starting a fight. Police say he then took the man’s cellphone and got away on a northbound A train.

The man suffered minor injuries and turned down medical attention at the station.
