Bronx DA: Man sentenced to 13 years in prison for shooting at two police officers in 2021

The DA's office said Charlie Vasquez, 24, fired at officers Robert Holmes and Alejandra Jacobs during a dispute on Beaumont Avenue, leaving them hospitalized.

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office announced on Tuesday a man was sentenced to 13 years in prison after shooting at two police officers in November 2021.

Charlie Vasquez, 24, fired at officers Robert Holmes and Alejandra Jacobs during a dispute on Beaumont Avenue, leaving them hospitalized. Vasquez was also shot by the officers returning fire, the DA's office added.

Vasquez pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon this past September.
