Activists gathered at Barclays Center on Saturday for the Boycott Black Murder campaign, a response to an uptick in gun violence in the area.
So far this year, NYPD stats show that 414 shootings out of the 1,239 shootings citywide took place in Brooklyn. Out of 1,490 victims citywide, 500 were in Brooklyn alone.
The Boycott Black Murder campaign activists say it will be reaching out to all five boroughs.
