The inaugural Hudson River Music Festival kicks off at Croton Point Park Saturday.
Many may remember it as the Clearwater Festival started by beloved folk singer Pete Seeger and his wife Toshi back in the 1960s, making it one of the oldest music festivals in the United States.
This new version is being held at the same site, on the same annual weekend, as the Clearwater Festival that fell victim to financial struggles and the pandemic.
The last time it was held in person was 2019.
Like the original, the new festival has strong environmental themes with the Hudson River as a main focus, and there will be many musical acts featuring performances by Grahame Lesh & Friends, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Steve Earle & Friends, Jorma Kaukonen & more.
Organizers say "This family-friendly festival is meant to unite people in a gathering fueled by a shared love for the river, music, and activism."
There will be various venders including food and drink, the festival runs from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
