A Beacon man appeared virtually in White Plains Federal Court Wednesday afternoon to face two charges stemming from the storming of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. last week.
Will Pepe, 31, allegedly called out sick from his job at Metro-North last week to attend the siege - only to be caught on camera.
The court outlined his conditions of an unsecured $10,000 bond, including a GPS monitoring system, a curfew, restricted travel and turning over his weapons by Thursday.
Transit officials suspended Pepe without pay last Friday and are looking to fire him.
His next court date is set for Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.
Formal charges against Pepe by the MTA are expected to be filed sometime this week.
Neither Pepe or his attorney commented on the case against him.
