they all have vaccines, but do you need them to go back to school?
“Schools typically mandate you to
get the MMR vaccine, the polio vaccine, chickenpox, hepatitis
B, meningococcal and the Tdap vaccines,” says Rite Aid pharmacist
Niketa Patel. Optional are the flu vaccines, COVID-19, the
human papillomavirus vaccine and some other vaccines.

However, COVID-19 vaccines
and boosters might be required by certain colleges and universities. The
flu vaccine is required for most day cares.
You are allowed to send in medical
or religious exemptions, so you can opt out. Just double-check with your doctor
and school to see if you're up to date and ready to go.
If you want to get a flu shot, it's
not too early. It takes about two weeks for the antibodies to kick in, but if
you are going to get it, Rite Aid recommends getting it by the end of October.
