Tuesday is World Autism Awareness Day and Honest Art is offering free art classes to people with special needs.
Staff say the free class takes place every other Tuesday.
Adults and kids with special needs are welcome to attend.
According to the CEO of the studio, Gabe Cruz, the art projects that the artists get to work on vary week to week.
Cruz says the class has been offered to people with special needs since the studio first opened up, nearly 2 ½ years ago.
He says the class is very meaningful to him, as he has a child with special needs himself.
Cruz believes the class is a great way for this community to connect.
"They don't have, necessarily, the friendships that other kids have, and they don't have the activities that other kids have, so it's really nice to be able to offer that to these kids," Cruz said. "They need friends, and they need fun stuff, too."
If you're interested in attending one of the classes, the staff suggests signing up for them on their website.
