A Bronx woman found herself on a glass-filled floor when she fell out of her apartment window Friday afternoon.

Sharon Moore?s sister says the 22-year-old tried to get important documents that had fallen out of the window at 5-85 East 137th St. That?s when she slipped and fell into a narrow shaft.

Neighbors say it was difficult to access the spot where Moore fell because of a padlocked basement door. Firefighters had to break into a neighboring apartment to rescue her. Moore is recovering at the hospital from her injuries.
