VIEW: Old Tappan Zee Bridge gets demolished with explosives

The remains of the old eastbound Tappan Zee Bridge were demolished with explosive charges Tuesday, Jan. 15.
The ramps leading onto the new Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge were closed from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. during demolition. The main navigation channel of the Hudson River was also closed Tuesday morning.
