The Valhalla community is in mourning remembering 19-year-old Jason Brand, who died in a crash on the Taconic State Parkway Sunday.

Valhalla schools posted to Facebook saying, "Jason was a big-hearted, intelligent and genuine young man."

He was a star soccer player with a lot of school spirit, and he graduated from the high school in 2020.

Brand was thrown off of his motorcycle after crashing into a car in White Plains.

He was later pronounced dead at Westchester Medical Center.
