Thousands of Hudson Valley residents remain without power following Friday's storm, and utility companies are warning residents to stay safe.
They advise residents to stay away from power lines on the ground.
They say the lines might look dead but can still be energized.
Utility companies also urge residents to get out of the house immediately if they suspect a gas leak.
They also asked people to contact them if they see a downed power line.
