Gulf Coast residents -- once again – are preparing for a tropical storm. 

Tropical Storm Beta is slowly working its way toward parts of Texas and Louisiana.

The Gulf Coast has already been drenched and battered during the busy hurricane season. State officials in Louisiana and Texas warn residents of storm surge.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center no longer predicts Beta will strengthen into a hurricane.
